The Imperial Gala Concert is the only concert series held exclusively in the magnificent Palais Auersperg, one of Vienna's most important Baroque gems. In those historic rooms where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Johann Strauss and many other composers once performed their works, guests today experience a unique synthesis of classical music, song and ballet.
The outstanding soloists of the Vienna Mozart Orchestra interpret the masterpieces of Viennese classical music with the highest musical excellence. Festive concert waltzes, virtuoso orchestral pieces and selected arias take the audience on a stylish journey back in time to the imperial era – the era in which the Viennese waltz shaped the ball and dance culture of Europe.
Accompanied by singing and ballet, a varied concert evening unfolds with works by Mozart, Johann Strauss, Vivaldi, Beethoven, Pachelbel and other greats of classical music. The interplay of music, movement and historical backdrop creates an atmosphere that combines imperial elegance and musical perfection.
