The 90-minute opera

The 90-minute opera at the Palais Auersperg is an invitation to rediscover Mozart’s most famous opera in a compact, lively production – entertaining, accessible and full of magic.

“The Magic Flute” is presented in a specially adapted abridged version that brings together the most important scenes and arias in just 90 minutes. The opera is sung in German, allowing the audience to experience the plot directly.

A particular highlight: Mozart himself guides the audience through the opera. In the role of the composer, Vinicius Kattah narrates the story with charm and wit – turning the work into a personal experience.

The performance will take place in the historic rooms of the Palais Auersperg – the very place where Mozart himself once worked. The opera will be performed by the soloists of the Vienna Mozart Orchestra and five internationally renowned opera singers, including Thomas Tatzl and Brigitta Simon.
